Shoe Dog by Phil Knight
What surprised me the most was that Nike was not always Nike in fact, before this it was called blue ribbon. What I liked about the entrepreneur the most was that he was a salesman, like we talked about in class a lot of entrepreneurs have trouble because they don't know how to sell their product. Phil Knight started selling shoes out of the trunk of his car! I believe I did not find anything that I least admired about Phil Knight, while I was reading the book I was extremely intrigued. Knight did encounter failure in fact, his father and his peers looked down at his visions at first and so he still tried to make them come true and actually went to Japan to start up. Some competencies Phil Knight possessed were being able to make an impact on various cultures. I cannot remember a part of the reading that was confusing to me because it was so intriguing. If I could ask two questions to the Knight I would ask him what style shoes did he like the most? Did you ever imagine Nike would become so iconic? I believe Knight's opinion of hard work was to keep trying even if no one believe in you because his father and his peers did not.
